The FireLight is a genuinely different take on home sauna: an instant-on, single-occupant basswood-and-canvas booth heated by incandescent near-infrared bulbs, plugging into any standard 120V outlet and backed by a 5-year warranty and 100-day trial. The trade-off is capacity and heat character - it warms one person directly at gentler air temperatures rather than delivering a shared high-heat cabin, and the EMF-shielded SilverLining version costs roughly $2,125 more.

SaunaSpace hand-builds the FireLight in Columbia, Missouri from sustainably harvested American basswood and a GOTS-certified organic cotton canvas enclosure, with no stains, glues, or synthetics in the wood components. Heat comes from the company's incandescent FireLight bulbs - the Classic uses a 4-bulb Hearth panel drawing 1,000W (8.3A at 120V), while a 7-bulb SuperSauna option draws 1,750W. Because the bulbs heat the body directly with radiant near-infrared (980-1500 nm), there is no preheating: the maker says most people begin sweating within 5 minutes, with full Classic sessions around 20-30 minutes. The whole Classic setup weighs 44.9 lb and assembles tool-free in 20-40 minutes.
As a one-person, plug-in unit, the FireLight avoids nearly all of the electrical and structural demands of cabin saunas, and ownership terms are strong: a 100-day home trial, a 5-year warranty that includes free bulb replacement, and bulbs rated for 5,000 hours that screw in like standard lamps. What it does not offer is a conventional hot-air experience - SaunaSpace does not publish a max air temperature, and the design intentionally runs at gentler ambient temperatures than traditional saunas. Buyers sensitive to EMF claims should note the SilverLining shielding layer is a paid upgrade, and pricing shown is the discounted base Natural/Classic configuration.
