Plunge The Sauna

The Sauna is Plunge's traditional-electric flagship: a handcrafted, weatherproof cedar cabin with 3/4-inch insulated walls and a vapour barrier for a drier, Finnish-style experience. The included HUUM Drop heater holds over 100 lb of sauna stones, heats the cabin to 230°F, and pairs with a HUUM WiFi controller so sessions can be scheduled from the Plunge app. The Standard model (H 7'11" x W 5'8" x D 5'11") seats 4-5 people across two benches with an ergonomic slanted backrest and flip-up benches; an XL (W 7'8", 6-7 people) adds $1,000. Plunge lists it as handcrafted in the USA with US-based support and a nationwide repair network.

Ownership asks more than most saunas here. The Standard requires a 240V, 30A NEMA L14-30 outlet (the XL steps up to a 50A NEMA 14-50), and Plunge specifies a foundation - a 4-inch concrete pad or reinforced deck - that can support 1,400 lb. Curbside delivery in the lower 48 runs $250, and the unit is residential-only. The standard warranty is 2 years, with a complimentary 2-year extension currently advertised. Plunge does not publish the heater's kW rating or a warm-up time, so those figures are not comparable here.
