The AV-2 puts a 4-person, 24-jet hot tub and a 2-person 39°F cold plunge in one 7-foot-square shell, each zone with its own heating, chilling, circulation, and filtration. It is the obvious pick for contrast therapy, but installation is the real cost: a hard-wired 220V connection for the hot side, a surface rated for 5,800 lbs filled, and a plunge that only reaches 39°F, not true ice water.

Aquavoss designed the AV-2 as a single 84" x 84" x 33" system rather than two appliances: the hot tub side holds 285 gallons and runs 24 pressurized hydrotherapy jets on a 3 HP pump with a Balboa heater and control system, while the 165-gallon cold plunge side is chilled to 39°F by a Panasonic-powered chiller custom-tuned to 48 dB. Each zone heats or cools at a stated 4°F per hour and then holds temperature continuously. Construction is an acrylic shell with weatherproof aluminum composite panels, 2" closed-cell foam insulation, a 4" marine-grade cover, and triple filtration with self-cleaning ozone and two 20-micron pleated filters. Warranty coverage is 2 years parts and labor plus 5 years structural, with free curbside delivery in the continental US.
The commitments are correspondingly larger than a standalone plunge. The hot side needs a licensed electrician for its hard-wired 220V connection (the cold side runs on 110V), the filled weight of 5,800 lbs demands a proper pad or reinforced deck, and Aquavoss recommends a local hot tub mover for placement. In cold climates the unit must be winterized and drained below 32°F ambient unless modified, and quarterly maintenance means draining both zones. The chiller's horsepower and energy consumption are not published, and at 39°F the plunge side will not satisfy buyers chasing near-freezing water.
Installation
Free curbside delivery; professional hot tub mover recommended for placement on a surface rated for 5,800 lbs; electrician connects power, then fill with a hose; vents need 5 ft front / 2 ft side clearance
Electrical
Hot tub: 220V hard-wired by a licensed electrician; cold plunge: standard 110V connection
Running cost
Not published; both zones hold temperature continuously, so expect higher energy use than a standalone plunge
Warranty
2-year warranty covering parts and labor; 5-year structural warranty on shell and supporting frame
Maintenance
Weekly sanitizer and balancer, rinse the cold-plunge mesh filter; quarterly drain both zones, clean the shell, and replace paper filters on both sides; winterize and drain below 32°F ambient unless cold-climate modifications are fitted
