The Duo is the small-backyard play: a roughly 63 x 51-inch mini-cube in Canadian Thermowood that brings a real 240V Harvia heater to spaces where a full cabin will not fit. The included package (heater, rocks, shingles, light) means no surprise add-ons beyond electrical work. You pay for outdoor-rated construction rather than capacity, though — $5,899 buys two seats — and the structural warranty is only one year.

Redwood positions the Duo as its most compact outdoor model, aimed at urban lots and couples. The shell is Canadian Thermowood (Redwood's heat-treated hemlock, processed above 400°F to improve moisture resistance without chemicals), it weighs 910 lbs, sits on two cradles, and measures 62 3/4" L x 50 3/4" W x 82 3/4" H with trim installed. The purchase includes the 6kW Harvia KIP heater, sauna rocks, roof shingles, a bulkhead light, and a tempered glass door, with heater upgrades up to a 9kW Homecraft H-Series with Wi-Fi. Like every traditional sauna in Redwood's line, it supports both dry heat and steam from water poured over the rocks.
What the page does not state matters for planning: no maximum-temperature or warm-up figure is published for the Duo specifically, and the front step is sold separately. Electrical needs are the standard Redwood pattern — a hardwired 240V circuit (30A for the base 6kW heater, 40A for an 8kW upgrade) installed by a certified electrician, plus 120V for lighting — so budget for that trade work on top of the DIY kit assembly. Warranty coverage is one year on the wooden structure, with the Harvia heater carrying one year on elements and five years on other components; that is thin next to the multi-year structural coverage some competitors offer.
Installation
Outdoor DIY kit assembly with printed manual and videos; requires a stable, level site; heater must be hardwired by a certified electrician; ships freight in a wooden crate
Electrical
240V hardwired heater circuit (30A for 6kW, 40A for 8kW); 120V for lighting; certified electrician required
Running cost
Base 6kW heater draws up to about 6 kWh per hour of heating at full output; compact interior volume limits heating time
Warranty
1-year limited warranty on the wooden sauna structure; Harvia heater covered 1 year on elements and 5 years on other components (residential)
Maintenance
Optional water-based exterior stain; sauna wax or paraffin oil on interior benches; wipe heater exterior periodically; restack and inspect stones every 6 months
