Vital Red Light's handheld covers the four workhorse wavelengths — 630 nm and 660 nm red plus 810 nm and 850 nm near-infrared — through 12 premium five-watt anti-flicker LEDs. The company emphasizes convenience features over raw size: a rechargeable 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery quoted at around five hours of runtime, a 10-minute auto-shutoff timer, and claimed zero EMF at treatment distance. At 5.8 × 3.8 × 1.5 inches and 1.3 lbs, it is small enough for a carry-on, and the product is HSA/FSA eligible with a letter of medical necessity.

The spec that needs scrutiny is irradiance: the page lists 150–210 mW/cm² with no stated measurement distance, and figures that high on a 12-LED handheld are almost certainly close-range readings. Vital recommends 10-minute sessions at 16–24 inches, where actual intensity will be considerably lower than the headline range. At $299 it costs nearly as much per session-area as panels several times its size — buyers are paying for the cordless format, the 3-year warranty (long for a handheld), and the 30-day trial rather than for output per dollar.
