The Platinum 4D Avalon leans into sensing: it scans oxygen saturation, heart rate, fatigue index and microcirculation, and uses a tension sensor to shape the massage program. With 20 auto and 11 manual modes, voice control and a removable graphene heat shawl, it is the feature-densest chair in Osaki's range at $8,999. The trade-offs are a 260 lb user weight limit — lower than the cheaper Solis — and a 32-inch assembled width that needs a wide doorway.

The Avalon's pitch is personalization. Before a session it runs an automatic body scan that reads oxygen saturation, heart rate, a fatigue index and microcirculation, then pairs that with a muscle tension sensor to pick a program. The 4D mechanism rides a laser-crafted steel SL-track from neck to hamstrings, with five 4D adjustment levels, 20 auto modes and 11 manual styles controlled from an 8-inch touchscreen, a shortcut panel on the armrest, or by voice. Its most unusual comfort feature is the heat shawl — a graphene heating layer you can drape over the chest and abdomen in addition to lumbar warmth, operating in the same 75-83°F range as Osaki's other heaters.
Practicalities are mixed. Zero gravity reclining works with just 5 inches of wall clearance, the footrest auto-extends up to 6.9 inches, and six upholstery colors is unusually generous in this category. The included Platinum warranty (3 years full service plus 2 years parts) matches the flagship Solis. But the 260 lb maximum user weight is lower than both the Solis (330 lb) and the entry-level Hamilton LE (270 lb), the 32-inch assembled width is the widest here, and Osaki's own materials disagree on the airbag count — the product listing says 40 cells while the spec sheet describes 20 — so compression coverage is harder to pin down than it should be at this price.
