The Kawa brings JPMedics' Japanese manufacturing to a lower price with a 3D roller on an extra-long L-track, air-cell stretching, and foot rollers that combine pressure-point and compression massage. The trade-off is coverage beyond the rollers: the base warranty includes just one year of in-home service, and zero-gravity recline is not among its listed features.

JPMedics describes the Kawa as incorporating refinements not normally found on a Japanese-manufactured chair, and the feature list is genuinely dense for $7,999.99: a 3D robotic engine travels an extra-long L-track from neck to glutes, ten choreographed auto programs and seven back techniques run from a large touchscreen remote, and quick auto body scanning fits the massage to the user. Air-cell technology positions the body and performs stretching of the back, shoulders, arms, and legs through 30 airbags at three intensity levels, while lumbar heat and dual-action foot rollers cover the extremities. A 1-inch wall saver keeps placement flexible, and the fit range runs 5'0" to 6'3" and 320 lbs.
The gaps show up in the fine print rather than the massage. The standard warranty is one year of in-home service with two years of parts — thin for a nearly $8,000 chair — and extending to three full years costs extra. Zero-gravity recline, standard even on chairs at a quarter of this price, is absent from the Kawa's published feature list, and its 30 airbags are less than half the count of its Kumo sibling. For buyers who prioritize the quality of the roller stroke over recline theatrics, that may be exactly the right trade.
