The Pop-Up is Plunge's entry ticket: an 18 lb nylon-and-PVC tub with a roughly 20-minute setup that pairs with the brand's 1/2 HP Standard Chiller for 39 F cooling, 20-micron filtration, and ozone sanitation. It is the cheapest way into the best-known name in cold plunging, but the 39 F floor is warmer than premium chillers reach, the warranty is only 12 months - and staying active requires keeping the tub connected to WiFi and the app.

Plunge designed the Pop-Up for people who want the brand's chiller ecosystem without the four-figure premium of its acrylic tubs. The tub itself measures 32" deep by 30" high with a 34" top ring, weighs 18 lbs empty, holds about 95 gallons (roughly 810 lbs filled), and fits users up to 6'9". A pole frame and inflatable upper ring assemble in about 20 minutes, and the package includes an air pump, weatherproof cover, and maintenance kit. The base $2,990 configuration reviewed here pairs the tub with the Standard Chiller in cold-only trim: 1/2 HP of cooling to 39 F on a 110V/15A circuit, with a 20-micron filter and ozone sanitation keeping the water clear. A heater option adds $500, and the Pro Chiller Gen 2 configurations run $4,490-$4,990.
The honest caveats are around limits rather than flaws. 39 F is cold enough for most protocols but warmer than the 32-37 F floors of higher-end systems, and Plunge marks this model as residential-use only. The 12-month warranty is unremarkable, and Plunge's terms state it is activated - and kept active - by connecting the tub to WiFi and the mobile app, an unusual condition worth knowing before you buy. Noise figures are not published. What you are paying for is a proven chiller platform, a large support and retail network, and a tub that can move house with you.
