The Plunge Pod squeezes full immersion for people up to 6'7" into a rigid, UV-resistant shell just 45 inches long, with ozone sanitation, 20-micron filtration, and app control on a standard 120V GFCI outlet. The catch is that the base Standard Chiller only reaches 39 °F — hitting Plunge's advertised 37 °F requires the $1,500 Pro Chiller Gen 2 upgrade — and coverage starts at one year with the warranty tied to keeping the unit on Wi-Fi.

The Pod is Plunge's space-efficiency play: a hard-shell tub measuring 45 by 30 by 34 inches, weighing 94 pounds empty and holding about 87 gallons, in White or Granite. Despite the compact footprint, Plunge claims full immersion for anyone up to 6'7" thanks to the deep seated posture. The shell is described on the page as sleek acrylic in the marketing copy and UV-resistant high-grade polyethylene in the spec section — either way, a durable rigid shell with an insulated lid for energy efficiency and hygiene. Water runs through a 20-micron filter with ozone sanitation, temperature and sessions are managed in the Plunge app, and the system plugs into a standard 120V, 15A GFCI outlet (a dedicated circuit is required for best performance).
Configuration matters here. Plunge's own comparison table lists the Pod's max cooling at 39 °F in the standard build, cooling 4-6 degrees per hour; the advertised "as low as 37 °F" applies with the Pro Chiller Gen 2, a $1,500 upgrade that also doubles the cooling rate to 8-10 degrees per hour. An optional heater ($500) adds contrast capability. Noise and energy figures are not published. All Plunges include a 12-month warranty — activated and maintained by keeping the tub connected to Wi-Fi and the app — and the Pod's page currently advertises a complimentary 2-year extended warranty, which softens what would otherwise be short coverage for a $5,490-plus purchase.
